HEC And Microsoft Launch AI Skilling Program And Founders Hub In Pakistan.
(CTN News) – A significant Microsoft development in the field of educational technology recently took place in Islamabad, as the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan and tech giant Microsoft renewed their partnership.
This collaboration was solidified through the signing of the Education Transformation Agreement (ETA) in a ceremony that demonstrated a commitment to revolutionizing technological education in Pakistan.
During the event, several initiatives were launched to foster innovation among students. These initiatives include the Imagine Cup competition, Founders Hub, and AI Skilling programs.
These platforms are specifically designed to encourage students to showcase their creative ideas and entrepreneurial ventures.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Hassan Nasir Jamy, the Federal Secretary for the Ministry of Information Technology & Telecommunication.
Jibran Jamshad, Country Principal Officer and regional Education Lead at Microsoft, emphasized the significance of this collaboration.
Our joint efforts with HEC through the ETA signify our commitment to nurturing innovation and equipping the youth with essential future skills,” he stated.
Dr. Zia Ul Qayyum, Executive Director of Microsoft of HEC, commenced the event with an engaging welcome speech. He underscored the significance of the Founders Hub & AI Skilling in shaping a future that is both insightful and collaborative in the realms of education and technology.
Hassan Nasir Jamy delivered a key address, wherein he emphasized the crucial role of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence in today’s world.
He expressed that the adoption of IT and AI is not just an option, but a crucial requirement that guides our advancement and unlocks boundless possibilities, resulting in a future filled with innovation and effectiveness.
The highlight of the ceremony was the formal signing of the ETA, marking a significant milestone in Pakistan’s educational evolution. Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, Chairman of HEC, expressed his enthusiasm for this partnership.
He remarked, “Our agreement with Microsoft is a commitment to integrating technology into education and fostering an innovative mindset. This partnership plays a pivotal role in creating a dynamic and adaptable learning environment for our students.”
