(CTN News) – WWE Backlash will be in Puerto Rico. For the first time in 18 years the promotion will hold a major event on a Caribbean island.
It is no secret that some of the biggest names in sports entertainment and beyond have aligned themselves for the event taking place on Saturday.
Cody Rhodes will be facing Brock Lesnar for the first time at this event, as well as global music superstar Bad Bunny will be taking on Damian Priest in an epic street fight.
In recent weeks, Rhodes has been salivating for a shot at Lesnar after the former champion cost him a rematch against the undisputed WWE Backlash universal champion Roman Reigns over a year ago.
It wasn’t until WrestleMania 37 that Bad Bunny and Priest teamed up to fight each other for the first time in a major WWE Backlash match.
During WrestleMania 39, Bad Bunny aided Rey Mysterio in the fight against Priest’s Judgment Day cohort Dominik Mysterio, which led to an argument between the two former friends.
Additionally to the three title matches that will take place on the evening, there are also some interest bookings that will be taking place.
During a six-man tag match between Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens and Riddle, The Bloodline WWE Backlash will have a golden opportunity to rid themselves of their problem with undisputed tag team champions Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.
Plus, one of the weirdest bookings in recent memory comes to a head when one of the biggest names in the business takes on Seth Rollins.
Here are a few things you need to know about Saturday night’s action.
