How To Watch The 2024 Copa América Draw: Dates, Groups, And Broadcast Channels

(CTN News) –  The 2024 Copa América draw is scheduled to occur on Thursday at the James L. Knight Center in Miami. To prepare you for this exciting event, here is all the essential information you should be aware of.

The tournament will be held in 14 cities across the United States from June 20 to July 14. You can catch all the action as it unfolds on the FOX family of networks.

What are the ways to view the draw?

The draw is scheduled to be televised on FS1 and the FOX Sports app on Thursday, December 7th at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time.

What countries will be taking part in the 2024 Copa América?

The South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) will be represented by its 10 member teams. Additionally, four teams from the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) – namely the United States, Mexico, Jamaica, and Panama – have also qualified for the tournament through the CONCACAF Nations League.

The remaining two teams will be determined through play-off games scheduled for March 23.

How will the teams for the 2024 Copa América be allocated into groups?

Teams are divided into four pots based on their FIFA ranking for fair distribution in competitions. The first pot has the highest-ranked teams, the second pot has relatively high-ranked teams, the third pot has moderate-ranked teams, and the fourth pot has the lowest-ranked teams.

This categorization ensures balanced competition and equal 2024 Copa América opportunities for all teams to progress.

Pot 1 will include Argentina, Brazil, the United States, and Mexico, with each team being assigned to separate groups. This procedure is repeated until there are four groups, each consisting of four teams, with one team from each pot.
