Jay Leno Suffers ‘Serious Burns’ In A Gasoline Fire
(CTN NEWS) – Jay Leno has been seriously injured by a fire that broke out in his Los Angeles car garage.
Jay Leno, 72, acknowledged that he is healing after suffering “severe burns” in a recent fire in a statement he gave to Variety on Monday.
He said, “I got some serious burns from a gasoline fire” “I am ok. I only need a week or two to recover.”
According to a statement made by Aimee Bennett, a spokeswoman at the Grossman Burn Center, the event occurred over the weekend in Leno’s garage, where Jay Leno is receiving medical care.
Bennett said, “Jay wants everyone to know that he is in stable condition and receiving treatment … for burns that he received to his face and hands from a gasoline accident in his garage over the weekend,”.
“He is in good humor and is touched by all the inquiries into his condition and well wishes. [He] wants to let everyone know he is doing well and is in ‘the best burn center in the United States.‘” according to [him].”

The comedian was taken to the hospital after a fire broke out in his Los Angeles garage, according to TMZ’s earlier Monday report. One of his vehicles reportedly burst into flames, leaving him with burns along his face. After that, Leno was taken to the Grossman Burn Center.
Leno cancelled his scheduled programme on Saturday night, according to a representative at Flappers in Burbank, even though it’s unclear exactly when the event occurred during the weekend.
In an email to conference attendees obtained by the publication, “Jay Leno’s family did not provide many details, but he cannot travel due to a serious medical emergency.”
“We only know he is alive, so our prayers are with him and his family tonight.”Leno was billed as the opening night performer for gold pass holders.
The fire was first reported by TMZ, which claimed one of Leno’s cars went up in flames, although it has not yet been confirmed what caused it.
Leno owns approximately 180 vintage and exotic cars and 160 motorcycles. He has channelled his passion for motor vehicles into the successful CNBC show Jay Leno’s Garage since leaving The Tonight Show after 22 seasons in 2014.

During a test run at California’s Irwindale Speedway in 2016, Leno was involved in a car accident while testing a drag-racing vehicle for Leno’s Garage. Leno said at the time, “That was certainly exciting.”. “It doesn’t get any better than that.”
