Andy Murray confirmed for Thailand Open

Wimbledon winner Andy Murray will start his autumn Asian campaign by headlining at the Thailand Open from September 23, officials have announced.

 

BANGKOK – Newly-crowned Wimbledon champion Andy Murray will compete in the Thailand Open in September, along with two other men ranked in the world’s top 10.

Murray will be making his fourth appearance at the Thailand Open, having reached the final on his tournament debut in 2005 and winning the event in 2011.

Joining Murray will be No.6-ranked Tomas Berdych and defending Thailand Open champion Richard Gasquet, ranked 9th.

Organizers of the Sept. 21-29 tournament confirmed Thursday that No. 13 Milos Raonic and popular Russian Mikhail Youzhny will also take part.
