Rams vs. 49ers: NFC Championship Prediction and Picks
Rams vs. 49ers – San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams face off in Super Bowl LVI this Sunday. It’s Kyle Shanahan vs. Sean McVay for the right to represent the NFC. Shanahan’s 49ers swept the Rams during the regular season, and have won six straight against McVay. Matt Stafford and company are coming off a win over the reigning Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers, however, and are seeking revenge.
Since realignment in 2002, there will be four intra-divisional conference championship games. Intriguingly, three of the previous intradivision conference championship winners have won the Super Bowl. As the first team to host a conference championship in the same stadium that will host the Super Bowl, the Rams must not waste this opportunity.

Rams vs. 49ers Preview and Prediction
Rams and 49ers will meet for the third time this season. The rivalry has recently favored San Francisco, but it would be foolish to assume it will continue into the NFC title game.
Since the AFL and NFL merged in 1970, teams that swept their division rival in the regular season went 14-8 in postseason meetings. In the previous four years, a regular-season champion has been on the road for Round 3, but this is only the fifth time.
Jimmy Garoppolo needs to play mistake-free football for San Francisco to make it three in a row. Even if the 49ers believe in their quarterback, that’s a tall order.
According to Cam Inman of The Mercury News, 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said, “Jimmy is a huge reason why we’re here.”
The game may not be a full-blown shootout, but expect it to be a nail-biter that goes to the team with the fewest mistakes.
