Warriors vs Kings: Kings Star Reacts
(CTN News) – After the Minnesota Timberwolves won against the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Golden State Warriors had to win against the Sacramento Kings with a margin of at least 12 points to progress to the next stage of the In-Season Tournament.
Despite having a 24-point lead, the Warriors failed to maintain it and eventually lost the game.
In a heartbreaking turn of events, the Warriors succumbed to the Sacramento Kings in the last minute of the game. This defeat shattered their hopes of progressing in the In-Season Tournament and added to their already disheartening start to the season.
Following the game, De’Aaron Fox, the standout player from the Kings, discussed the Warrior’s significance of the point differential in this match during an interview with the NBA on the TNT crew.
He acknowledged that his team was aware of this factor but emphasized their unwavering determination to secure a victory, despite facing a significant deficit.
“We were determined to emerge Warriors victorious in the game,” Fox expressed. “Undoubtedly, this outcome contradicts our regular season record, hence our unwavering desire to win the game.”
Fox showered his teammate Malik Monk with immense admiration for his remarkable shots during the crucial moments, which played a pivotal role in securing the victory.
Although Fox was astounded by Monk’s performance, he mentioned that he had witnessed Monk making such shots before and had complete faith in his abilities.
