Bill Belichick Clarified Rumors About His Future As An NFL Coach.
(CTN News) – Bill Belichick finds himself in unfamiliar territory this season as his Patriots team is currently one of the worst in the NFL.
Due to this, he has faced numerous inquiries regarding his job security in New England.
On Monday, he was once again confronted with a question about a rumor started by ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky, and his response was direct and straightforward.
During an appearance on The Pat MacAfee Show on November 14, Orlovsky mentioned that he had heard about a potential breakup between Bill Belichick and the Patriots, suggesting that the coach’s next team may already be determined.
It is worth noting that Orlovsky clarified that he is not a journalist, perhaps trying to Bill Belichick to distance himself from any potential criticism if the rumor proves to be false.
Belichick was questioned directly regarding Orlovsky’s remarks and the speculation surrounding his future team during his appearance on WEEI-FM in Boston on Monday morning.
Belichick responded, “I find that notion to be absurd,” following a brief silence.
With a current record of 2-9, the Patriot’s Bill Belichick currently holds the lowest standing in the AFC and has recently suffered their fourth consecutive defeat.
On Sunday at 1 p.m. ET, New England will be hosting the Chargers (4-7).
