Janet Jackson Denies Having a Baby with Ex-Husband James DeBarge
Recently, Janet Jackson talked about her upcoming documentary, Janet Jackson, a four-hour show from Lifetime and A+E, and looked back at her life and career. Her relationship with James DeBarge, her ex-husband, was even the source of rumors about her having a secret baby, which began when she started gaining weight during her time on Fame.

In an interview with ETonline, Janet Jackson discussed the rumors doing the rounds about her documentary. Her relationship with her ex-husband was even discussed while she shut down rumors that a child was born to her and James DeBarge. According to her, she initially thought marriage would be a way for her to escape from her father since she thought she could not be her own unless she was married.

In response to the rumors, she explained that it all began when she started taking birth control pills and gained weight during her stint on Fame. Debbie Allen, her co-star on Fame, revealed that no one in the cast saw her baby bump. Allen revealed this in the documentary when she said, “These were just rumors flying around, honey, like hash in a diner. But what stuck out to me was where was the baby? No one saw a baby.” Throughout the day, she was with us. Where was the baby?”
