The Marvels’ Continues to Faces Anti-‘Woke’ Backlash

“The Marvels” had the worst opening weekend of any MCU film, and critics are pointing fingers at the wokeness of female-led films as a result. This comes years after feminist actress Brie Larson was the target of criticism for her role in “Captain Marvel.”

“The Marvels” is bracing for a precipitous decline in its sophomore season. With an astounding 87% drop from last week’s opening day, the Marvel Studios film made $2.8 million on Friday. The film’s sophomore effort will be fortunate if it earns $10 million.

“Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” last spring fell 69.9 percent, making it the MCU record holder for worst second weekend decline. It looks like “The Marvels” will probably smash that record just a few months from now.

Despite a reported production budget of over $200 million, “The Marvels,” which stars three women—Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, and Iman Vellani—as the leads, opened last week to a dismal $47 million domestically, making it Marvel’s worst opening weekend ever.

As a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster “Captain Marvel” (which stars Larson as the titular superhero), the picture joins the small clutch of Marvel films helmed by female directors.

The audience score for “The Marvels” is higher than the critical acclaim (64% vs. 62% on Rotten Tomatoes), which may indicate that the film has not been hit by the same review bombing campaign as “Captain Marvel,” which saw a large number of negative reviews posted before the film’s release.

Some conservative reviewers have attacked the film, claiming that the female-led picture, which features numerous women of color, is “woke.”

Out of all the Marvels Cinematic Universe films, The Avengers is the worst say Conor Murray.

The writers take fantastic comic book material and use it to craft a plot that will make ticket buyers question their own cognitive decline and the amount of gray matter in their brains.

Thankfully, they were able to trim the film by removing almost thirty minutes of unnecessary footage.

It is only fair that the filmmaker have her lifelong directing license revoked.

It appears that Disney has lost their influence, but they persist in trying to indoctrinate the audience nevertheless.
