World Cup 2023: Pakistan’s Bowling Attack Is The Best

(CTN News) – Pakistan team director Mickey Arthur said on Thursday that Green Shirts’ bowling attack was “the best in the world” as the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 got underway today.

During a press conference, Arthur discussed the team’s readiness, development, and expectations, as well as his excitement about the challenges that lay ahead as the Green Shirts prepared for their first match against the Netherlands.

Arthur believes Pakistan’s bowling is the best in the world, despite conceding close to 700 runs in warm-up games.

Arthur said of his bowling attack: “I think our bowlers are the best in the world. If we score runs, our bowlers can defend them.”

In the Asia Cup, the Men in Green announced their playing XI one day before the match, but now they will announce it at the toss.

The playing XI will be revealed when the toss happens. We have an idea of our team, and our 11 players are ready.”

There is always a lot of pressure during a World Cup. I think our boys are in a good place, and part of the appeal for me is that it’s a very similar squad to what we had in 2019, and there are almost no unfinished business.”

We were very close in 2019. Boys are now men. They have gained a lot of experience. Four more years of experience have passed. In those four years, we had the best win-loss ratio in ODIs. Therefore, these guys are prepared for anything that comes their way,” the Pakistan team director concluded.

The Pakistan Way, as Arthur called it, will help Pakistan win the World Cup.

Our captain explained, “We play our way, which we call the Pakistan way. We will win the World Cup in the same manner. The form continues to come, but the quality is undeniable.”

The coach stressed the team’s unique style of play.

Arthur says Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan are not responsible for the Men in Green’s batting.

As well as Babar and Rizwan, we have Imam, Saud Shakeel, and Fakhar Zaman.”

Arthur also endorsed vice-captain Shadab Khan, who has faced criticism recently for his form. As far as Shadab is concerned, he will return to his form soon, as he is the best all-around player in the team. I am very optimistic about Shadab’s return to form from tomorrow onwards.”

Shadab has my full support. He is an excellent cricketer. He’s exceptional in all areas, whether it’s bowling, batting, or fielding. Looking at his bowling alone, he’s just lacking a little confidence.

The player has not lost the ability to turn the ball. His googly is still very good. It just takes one performance for him to regain his confidence and make sure that he has a big impact at this World Cup.”

“An India-Pakistan match is always stressful. The Indian team is good, our team is also ready. I hope we win two matches before the India match.” Arthur said.

In addition, Arthur commented on the warm reception the team has received in India, saying, “The boys enjoyed coming to India and received a great welcome. You can see how the Indian fans are welcoming the Pakistani team. You don’t often see Babar, Rizwan, and Shaheen.”

Arthur emphasized players’ exceptional skills and expressed confidence that with the right mindset and technical preparation they would be able to regain their form and perform well in the upcoming games.

The Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad will host Pakistan’s match against the Netherlands.
