Pakistan Beat Bangladesh In The Super 4 Points Table For The 2023 Asia Cup

(CTN News) – At the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Wednesday, Pakistan kept up their good form by defeating Bangladesh by seven wickets in the first Super Four match of the ongoing Asia Cup 2023, which is being held in Bangladesh.

Thanks to the mature innings of Imam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Rizwan, the Green Shirts were able to chase down the target of 194 runs with ease.

With his 78 off 84 balls, including nine boundaries, Imam was the top scorer for the winning team.

At the other end of the wicket, Rizwan, who came to bat when Pakistan were 74-2, built a much-needed 85-run partnership with Imam and scored a total of 63 runs with him.

As the first inning progressed, Pakistani bowlers continued their outstanding performance as the Bangladeshi batsmen, batting first, were all out for 193 runs by Pakistani bowlers.

In his spell of four wickets in six overs, Haris Rauf, 29, bamboozled Bangladesh’s batting order as he bowled an extraordinary spell of four wickets in nine overs.

Shaheen Afridi was able to pick up only one wicket while Naseem Shah managed to collect three wickets.
