INACTIVES: Lions VS Commanders
(CTN News) _ When the Detroit Lions host the Washington Commanders at Ford Field today, they will have an explosive offensive weapon at their disposal.

Despite suffering an ankle injury in last week’s loss to the Eagles, running back D’Andre Swift is active.

Swift missed practice Wednesday and Thursday, but returned Friday as a limited participant. Swift rushed 15 times for 144 yards and a touchdown, and caught three passes for 31 yards.

He had 144 rushing yards in Week 1.

The Lions must determine if Swift can succeed behind an offensive line missing all three starters today.
Jonah Jackson (finger) and Frank Ragnow (groin/foot) are both out.
Ragnow was ruled out Friday. Jackson, who was injured in practice Wednesday, has been changed to doubtful.
Right guard Halapoulivaati Vaitai was injured before the season.

Evan Brown will start at center and Logan Stenberg at guard. Drew Forbes, Kayode Awosika or Dan Skipper, who was promoted from the practice squad on Saturday, are the Lions’ other guard options.

In the Lions’ defense, starting cornerback Amani Oruwariye is questionable due to a back injury.
Last week, Washington had four passing touchdowns and four passing plays of 25-plus yards in a win over Jacksonville.

Ifeatu Melifonwu (hamstring) is inactive again. He practiced in limited fashion this week, so he’s trending in the right direction, but still isn’t ready to play.

After missing a month with a hamstring injury, the Lions get Julian Okwara back.

Inactivity last week. Detroit gets an extra rusher off the edge to get after Commanders quarterback Carson Wentz.

Demetrius Taylor, tight end James Mitchell, and defensive lineman Austin Bryant join Jackson, Ragnow, Oruwariye and Melifonwu on Detroit’s inactive list today.

What is the Lions best record ever?

That win started a season ending six game winning streak and gave the Lions their best record ever at 12-4.
