NFL Playoff Picture 2022: AFC and NFC Wild Card Races for Week 18

NFL Playoff Picture

NFL Playoff Picture: There are just three NFL playoff berths left after one week of the regular season.

NFL Week 18 still has a lot to determine.

This week, in the last week before the NFL playoffs, several teams will be contending for division titles, playoff berths, and seeding.

Thanks to their win over the Minnesota Vikings in NFL Week 17, the Green Bay Packers (13-3) clinched the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

As a result of their win over the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC, the Tennessee Titans are in a position to earn the top playoff spot in that conference.

In each conference, the top seed receives a bye in the playoffs and the other division winners receive the No. 2 through No. 4 seeds.

A non-division winner with the best record receives the No. 5, No. 6, and No. 7 seeds.

NFC playoff matchups right now:

  • No. 2 Rams vs. No. 7 Eagles
  • No. 3 Buccaneers vs. No. 6 49ers
  • No. 4 Cowboys vs. No. 5 Cardinals

Notes: With the Packers, Buccaneers, and Cowboys clinching their division titles, the Rams, Cardinals, and Eagles securing playoff berths, one NFC playoff spot remains open for either the 49ers or Saints. In the tiebreaker for the No. 2 seed, the Rams hold a lead over the Buccaneers due to their victory over Tampa Bay. Since the 49ers won the head-to-head matchup, they have the tiebreaker over the Eagles.
