(CTN News) – To begin their 2023 NFL season, the Las Vegas Raiders will travel to Denver to play the Denver Broncos in their first game.

There will be a kickoff scheduled for 4:25 p.m.Eastern Time from Empower Field at Mile High. The game will be broadcast on CBS at this time.

The Raiders have moved on from Derek Carr this offseason, which means it is a new era for the team. Some fans are looking forward to the start of the new era when Jimmy Garoppolo replaces Jay Cutler as the starting quarterback.

There is no doubt that Garoppolo’s teams have had success, even though he may not be an elite quarterback. Additionally, there seems to be improvement on the defensive side of the ball.

There will still be Chandler Jones and Max Crosby rushing at quarterback, however, the Raiders have added Marcus Peters and Jakorian Bennett to the secondary, which has been an issue the past few seasons.

With Sean Payton as the head coach of the Denver Broncos, the team is in its first year under Payton’s guidance, and there are high expectations for the first season.

There are some people who are expecting Russell Wilson to shock the world this season after he had a terrible season last year.

With guys like Randy Gregory, Pat Surtain II, and Justin Simmons on the defense, it is expected the defense will turn in a good performance as usual, as they have added Frank Clark to an already strong unit. In the first year of his Raiders career, Marvin Mims is also a name to keep an eye on.
