The Celtics' Kristaps Porzingis Sprained His Left Ankle, Leaving The Game

(CTN News) – During the third quarter of Thursday night’s game between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat, Kristaps Porzingis suffered a sprained left ankle and was forced to leave the game.

The good news is that Porzingis was still able to score 19 points in 21 minutes of playing time before he had to go to the locker room for treatment and evaluation when he got injured.

Porzingis expressed the belief that Celtics despite the sprain being diagnosed at the time of the game, it wouldn’t be a major issue after the game a few minutes after it had been diagnosed.

As soon as Miami’s Bam Adebayo launched a shot from the right corner of the court, he leaped to contest the shot, landing on the foot of Adebayo with 7:12 left in the third quarter.

Porzingis fell to the ground and grabbed his ankle as he tried to get up after falling to the ground. In the beginning, he was down for a brief period of time before he was able to stand and limp toward the Celtics’ bench after he had been down for a short time.

Despite the fact that the Celtics were playing 4-on-5 during that possession,

Tatum was able to make a 3-pointer, and Porzingis stepped out of the Celtics game as a result of foul trouble after the game had been called.

In his first season as a member of the NBA’s top team, Porzingis averaged 19.9 points and 6.8 rebounds as of Thursday afternoon. The result of this was that Boston went on to defeat Miami by a score of 143-110 in the end.
