Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp Set To Leave at Season’s End
(CTN News) – Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will leave the Premier League club. On October 8, 2015, Klopp was appointed manager of Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp has announced his decision to resign as manager of Liverpool FC at the end of the season, having informed the club’s ownership of his desire to leave in the summer.
Following Wednesday’s EFL final victory, the 56-year-old manager will remain in charge for the remaining fixtures of 2023-24 before saying goodbye to Anfield after an eight-and-a-half-year tenure.
During Jurgen Klopp’s manager tenure, the club won six major trophies.
Pepijn Lijnders and Peter Krawietz, as well as Vitor Matos, the elite development coach, are also stepping down after the season.
Many people will be shocked at this moment when hearing it for the first time, but I can explain it – or at least try to explain it,” Jurgen Klopp was quoted as saying.
There is so much I love about this club, about its city, about its fans, about the team, about the staff. I like everything. I am convinced that this decision is right, since I am still making it.
It is because I am running out of energy that I am having this problem. Now, there is no problem for me. Despite knowing that I would have to announce it eventually, I am fine right now. Generally, I am unable to do the same thing over and over again.
As we have grown together, as we have shared experiences together, I have grown to respect and love you, and the least I can do is tell you the truth.
Jurgen Klopp won the UEFA Champions League, Premier League, FIFA Club World Cup, FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA Super Cup, and FA Community Shield.
Club members were notified in November. My job might not seem clear from the outside, I’m on the touchline and in training sessions, but most of what I do is centered around this type of work. As soon as the season begins, you begin planning for the following year.” Jurgen Klopp explained.
