Anthony Davis' Concussion Evaluation Is The Biggest NBA Storyline

(CTN News) – Anthony Davis left Game 5 of the Los Angeles Lakers versus Golden State Warriors in the fourth quarter after being struck in the head by Kevon Looney’s elbow.

During the walk off the court, Anthony Davis appeared wobbly, and he did not return to the game after that.

Game 5 of the series was won by the Warriors, 121-106, as they fought to stay alive in the series and forced a Game 6 in Los Angeles to decide the series.

In spite of the fact that the Lakers still lead the series 3-2, there is now a lot of focus on Davis’ situation. Anthony Davis took a while to get to the locker room in a wheelchair. However, once he was there, he could walk off by himself.

Anthony Davis was believed to have avoided a concussion after the Lakers game, but it was not their decision to make.

A report by ESPN’s Brian Windhorst outlined the steps that will be taken to determine if Anthony Davis should be placed under a concussion protocol.

It also outlined what the next steps will entail. Because of Davis’ concussion, and if he goes into concussion protocol, he will certainly miss Game 6 as a result of his concussion. He will probably miss Game 7 as well if he goes into concussion protocol.

During the course of tomorrow’s assessment, Windhorst will continue to monitor him to see if he develops any symptoms, he added. “It’s not necessarily what he feels, it’s how he feels.”

The doctors put him through a series of tests to see how he is reacting to the symptoms, and then compare those to the tests he took before he was concussed.”

There is no question whether he can play through the symptoms or whether he is going to have to enter concussion protocol if he is required to do so,” Windhorst said. The return to play guidelines have been predetermined and take time to be followed.

On Thursday, the Lakers will need to post an injury report ahead of Game 6 of the NBA Finals. As long as Anthony Davis’ name is not listed on that injury report, it is likely that he will be in the lineup for Friday night’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

AD may very well miss the remainder of the series if it is reported that he did have to enter concussion protocol as a result of the injury. Are the Lakers capable of winning a game without him on the court?

What was Anthony Davis highest scoring game?

Anthony Davis had his most points for the Lakers in a game versus the Wizards on December 4, with 55 points.
