(CTN News) – A report from Amazon Fire TV about online streaming trends for 2023 was released on January 30.

2023’s most streamed content

There was no doubt that Cricket dominated the streamed content of the year. According to Amazon Fire TV Streaming Trends Report, Indians spent more time streaming cricket than entertainment content during domestic and international cricket tournaments in 2023.

India Most-watched movies of 2023

According to the list of most-watched movies, Pathaan, Jailer, Farzi, Drishyam 2 and Rocky Aur Rani were the top five.

Most popular genres of 2023

Among Fire TV users, comedy, thrillers, and drama were most popular.

Most voice-searched Indian titles

In India, Tarak Mehta ka Ulta Chashma, Big Boss, Anupama, Ramayan and CID are the most voice-searched titles.

Most-watched Prime Video series

There were a lot of popular Prime Video shows, including Farzi, Dahaad, Jubilee, and Made in Heaven.

The city with the highest daily streaming hours

Fire TV data shows that a Delhi family streamed 5.4 hours every day on average in 2023. That’s the highest average for any household in India.

Here are some trends we’ve noticed among Fire TV Stick users.

  1. Amazon Music, Spotify and other music apps are popular on Fire TV, with one in three people using them.

  2. There are Fire TV Sticks in 99% of Indian pin codes.

  3. In 2023, Amazon’s annual edition of the report will tell you how Indian viewers consume content on Fire TV. On Fire TV, Maharashtra, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu streamed more cricket than any other state.

  4. Fire TV Stick users spent about 4 hours per day streaming movies, shows, cricket matches, playing games, and listening to music with their Fire TV Sticks.

  5. There was a 50% increase in F1 viewership in 2023 compared to 2022.

  6. Kids’ related apps grew 31% in terms of monthly streaming hours per customer, with the most popular apps being YouTube Kids, ChuChu TV and HappyKids. Kids’ shows Cocomelon, Peppa Pig and Chhota Bheem were also very popular.

  7. Watching hours on free streaming apps like YouTube, miniTV, and MX Player jumped 23% year-over-year.
