Adam Driver Jokes On 'SNL' That He Didn't Kill Han Solo: 'Wokeness Killed Han Solo'

(CTN News) – Adam Driver has expressed his frustration with the constant complaints about “Star Wars.” During his monologue on “Saturday Night Live,” he showcased his musical talent by playing the piano while reciting a letter to Santa filled with Christmas wishes.

In the letter, he humorously addressed the common occurrence of people approaching him on the street and blaming him for the death of Han Solo. He clarified that he did not kill the character, but rather it was the concept of “wokeness” that led to Han Solo’s demise.

This joke refers to his portrayal of the villainous Kylo Ren in the “Star Wars” movies, specifically “The Force Awakens,” “The Last Jedi,” and “The Rise of Skywalker.” The storyline of Kylo killing Han Solo in “The Force Awakens” sparked controversy among fans of the franchise.

Adam Driver’s Christmas list began with a playful greeting to Santa, mentioning his inclusion on the nice list and his role in the TV series “Girls.”

He then humorously requested five pairs of chinos and expressed his desire for a giant metal Tesla truck, jokingly suggesting it would complement his “teeny tiny micropenis.”
Adam Driver will be hosting “Saturday Night Live” for the fourth time, with Olivia Rodrigo as the musical guest. He previously hosted in 2016 with Chris Stapleton, in 2018 with Kanye West, and in 2020 with Halsey.

In addition to his hosting duties, Adam Driver will be starring as Enzo Ferrari in the biographical film “Ferrari,” directed by Michael Mann.

The film, which also features Penélope Cruz, Shailene Woodley, Sarah Gadon, Gabriel Leone, Jack O’Connell, and Patrick Dempsey, premiered at the Venice International Film Festival and will be released in theaters on Christmas Day.

Other hosts of Season 49 of Adam Driver”Saturday Night Live” include Jason Momoa, Pete Davidson, Nate Bargatze, and Timothée Chalamet, with musical guests Tate McRae, Ice Spice, Foo Fighters, and Boygenius. On October 21, Bad Bunny took on both roles as host and musical guest.
