Soon, Google Search Will Have AI Features Like ChatGPT

(CTN News) – According to an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Google is working on improving its capacity to handle diverse types of search queries through artificial intelligence advancements, as reported in the report.

It seems that Pichai overlooks the possibility that chatbots may pose a threat to Google’s search business, which contributes over 50% of the parent company’s revenue, even though it is available through chatbots like ChatGPT and other business-related challenges.

During a recent interview with Mr. Pichai, he indicated that there is a greater potential for growth now than it was when the company first started.

I believe Google has been at the forefront of the creation of large language models (LLMs), which are computer programs that are capable of interpreting and responding to natural language queries in a manner that is similar to that of a human being.

While this technology may have the potential to impact how people interact with search engines in the future, the company has yet to leverage it in this way. As Mr. Pichai confirmed, a change is about to take place in this regard.

In addition, he added that individuals who conduct searches on Google will have the ability to ask Google questions and interact with LLMs as they conduct their searches. Google’s search engine will be able to take advantage of this functionality as part of its new features.

Due to Microsoft’s implementation of the ChatGPT system into its Bing search engine, Pichai is grappling with one of the most significant challenges to Google’s primary business in recent years, as well as pressure from investors to reduce costs and dilute his company’s profits.

A large number of jobs at Alphabet have been eliminated, with the company announcing the elimination of roughly 12,000 jobs, or approximately 6% of its entire workforce, in January.

Additionally, other tech companies have also scaled back their expenditure in response to concerns regarding inflation and the recession.

The recent statements made by Mr. Pichai suggest that Google intends to give users access to the large language models available to the company by way of its search engine so that they can interact directly with the company.

As a result, the traditional link-based experience that has been prevalent for the past several decades could be fundamentally altered going forward.

According to Mr. Pichai, Google is testing out various new search products, including versions that will allow users to ask follow-up questions based on the information they provided in the first place.

As announced last month, Google plans to integrate conversational search into search in a more significant way, but until now, it has not disclosed how the company intends to incorporate conversational search into its products.
