Discord Is Investigating The “You’ve Been Blocked” Issue

(CTN News) – Currently, the majority of users of Discord that attempt to access the popular instant messaging and VoIP social platform are being met by a frightening message that reads “Sorry, you have been blocked”.

Users of both the app as well as the website have reported that this is happening to them, and there have been a number of reports made on both Twitter and Reddit in the past hour about this activity.

According to the data provided at Downdetector, a spike in reports about users who are unable to access Discord has been noted as well, with the issues starting around two hours ago based on the data provided there.

The status page of Discord indicates that the platform’s engineers are currently investigating an abnormal rise in API errors, which means that the issue has not yet been fully resolved, so the issue needs to be further investigated.

Additionally, Discord’s Twitter support account has also sent out tweets informing users that they are aware of the issue and that they are investigating it; however, at this time, no further information has been provided regarding the issue.

The outage has been attributed to a scheduled maintenance by Cloudflare, which has reportedly affected other online platforms besides Discord, as well as other online communities in general.

According to the information that we have at the time of writing this post, many users have been able to regain access to their Discord accounts, so this does not appear to be an actual block for violating any of the platform’s policies, but rather a technical issue that is gradually being resolved.

Having said that, if you are still having trouble logging into Discord, you are advised to remain calm and wait for the issue to be resolved before attempting to log in again.
