WhatsApp's Web Version Has Undergone 2 Changes

(CTN News) – As reported by WaBetaInfo, Meta-owned WhatsApp is rolling out two upcoming changes for its web users, including a redesigned chat share sheet and a redesigned emoji panel.

There are two new features that have been released to some beta testers recently, and they will be rolled out to more users over the course of the next few days according to the app-tracking website.

Apart from Windows and macOS, the instant messaging app continues to bring changes to its web version in addition to the Windows and macOS versions. The company develops new features in order to enhance the user experience as much as possible.

There has been a complete revamp of the chat share sheet by WhatsApp, making it more compact and putting a label next to each icon.

It has also been redesigned to include an emoji panel as well. With the most recent update, it is now displayed separately from the sticker and GIF tabs at the very bottom of the screen instead of covering the entire bottom of the screen as it was in the past.

In order to improve the user experience, WhatsApp has been redesigning its interface to make it more user-friendly.

Updates to the native Windows WhatsApp apps

Two updates have already been released for the Windows native app as part of the latest update, which included a feature to prevent messages from disappearing as well as a redesigned message menu with a reaction bar.

Initially, the two new features, titled keep messages and redesigned message menu, were rolled out for some beta testers in order to get feedback.

Messages can now be kept from disappearing by providing users with the option to keep them. On the mobile apps of WhatsApp and on the desktop Electron version of WhatsApp, this feature is already available.

There would be a benefit to this feature since it would prevent some messages from disappearing if a user selects the “keep” option available within the message menu in order to keep them.

According to WaBetaInfo, if you decide that you would like to keep some of your messages from disappearing, then the messages will be listed at the bottom of the chat information screen if you decide to do so.

There will still be the option for every WhatsApp user to control which messages they receive based on their preferences. It is possible to use the “upkeep” option if you do not want the message to disappear after a certain period of time, but instead want to keep it from disappearing.

Besides the new button for sending a reaction, another new feature has been added as well. The menu has been redesigned to include a new reactions bar, making the user interface more intuitive.
