Now Playing YouTube Music Bug Clips Album Art

(CTN News) – There has been a slight YouTube Music bug that clips album art on Android and iOS’s Now Playing screen in recent days.

It appears that some users are experiencing a color border in the right and left parts of the Now Playing screen instead of a square for certain song artwork in the Now Playing screen.

In the YouTube app, this thumbnail is similar to what you see when you watch an audio-only song with no visuals at all as a video in the main YouTube Music app.

In the Now Playing area, the themed background isn’t displayed, and instead, the black background will appear instead of the artwork that is usually displayed in the Now Playing YouTube Music area.

In our testing, we have found that this doesn’t appear to be a problem that affects a wide range of users. It first became apparent last week that there was a problem, and there appears to be no rhyme or reason as to what songs are being affected. (Android 13) media notifications are not affected by this pseudo-letterboxing and are not affected by this pseudo-letterboxing.

It is most likely that a server-side change is to blame for the cover art bug, which occurs both on the Android version and on the iOS version of YouTube Music. As far as functionality is concerned, there is no impact, but it can be somewhat distracting visually.

In addition to this problem, there is also a problem that occurs in the mini-player, so it’s difficult to tell what you’re listening to at a glance by just looking at it.

Can YouTube music be downloaded? How do you do that?

In order to ensure that you always have music available to you-even when you’re on the go-turn on smart downloads on your mobile device:

  1. You will need to open the YouTube Music app on your phone.

  2. Your profile photo will appear when you tap it.

  3. Then tap the Downloads button.

  4. The Settings menu can be found here.

  5. Make sure you have “Smart downloads” turned on.
