Comcast Now TV Streaming Service Has 60-Plus Channels And Peacock Content

(CTN News) – Comcast’s streaming service will be available to broadband subscribers, as part of the company’s effort to keep them interested in video.

It is important to note that Now TV offers more than forty live cable entertainment channels from A+E Networks, AMC Networks, Hallmark and Warner Bros.

What’s more, the cable company’s Xumo Play service offers more than two dozen free, ad-supported channels, including Discovery and NBC, but it does not offer local broadcast TV from local broadcasters.

Now TV also comes with a subscription to Peacock Premium, which is a premium service.

In the near future, Comcast’s Xfinity Internet subscribers will be able to subscribe to TV for $20 per month for their service.

In most cases, the Popular TV package from Xfinity TV costs between $50 and $60 per month, and it offers 125+ channels (including local and sports channels).

With Now TV, you do not need to use an additional set-top box to be able to sign up, cancel, or change your subscription at any time.

With Xfinity Stream, Now TV Live and Xfinity Stream’s FAST channels will be accessible on supported devices, including Xfinity Flex, Amazon’s Fire TV, iOS- and Android-powered devices, and via Apple AirPlay and Google Chromecast casting.

This service was developed by Comcast as a way to meet the needs of value-conscious consumers who are looking for superior programming (movies, TV shows, sports, and news) that is convenient and easy to use.

‘We’re uniquely positioned to build and deliver streaming entertainment offerings unlike anything else on the market today,’ said Dave Watson, president and CEO of Comcast Cable.

In the first quarter of this year, Comcast, which is the largest pay-TV provider in the U.S., lost 614,000 video subscribers.

It was revealed that Watson acknowledged the reality of cord-cutting during the company’s earnings call and said that the company does not subsidize unprofitable video relationships with third parties.

It’s important to us, but it’s also financially manageable too,” he added. There’s no doubt about it, we will fight hard, whether it’s acquisition, base management or retention.”
