(CTN NEWS) – Iran’s Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, has issued a stark warning to Israel, cautioning that the situation in the Middle East could deteriorate significantly if Israeli strikes on Gaza persist.

Amir-Abdollahian pointed out that the United States, as a major provider of military support to Israel, shares some responsibility for the ongoing conflict.

Shortly after this, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed his troops, emphasizing the gravity of the situation and characterizing the conflict with Hamas as a “do or die” battle.

Iran has voiced support for both Hamas, responsible for the initial attack on Israel that resulted in the deaths of 1,400 people, and Lebanon’s Hezbollah.

The Gaza Strip has witnessed a devastating death toll of over 4,600 Palestinians in the last two weeks, according to the Hamas-run health ministry.

Israel recently announced a ramping up of air strikes in the region.

Amir-Abdollahian’s warning carries the weight of potential regional repercussions if the violence continues unchecked.

He also accused the United States of supporting a “proxy war” being carried out by Israel on behalf of the U.S.

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, has warned that Israel’s continued strikes on Gaza could push the Middle East into a perilous and uncontrollable situation.

He has also assigned some blame to the United States for supporting Israel’s military actions.

Following this, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed Israeli troops, describing the battle against Hamas as a fight for survival.

Iran backs both Hamas and Lebanon’s Hezbollah.

The death toll in Gaza has risen to more than 4,600 Palestinians over the past two weeks, with Israel announcing an escalation of air strikes.

Amir-Abdollahian’s warning highlights the potential for far-reaching regional consequences if the violence persists.

He has also asserted that the United States is enabling a “proxy war” carried out by Israel on behalf of the U.S.

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has issued a warning about the risk of a “significant escalation of attacks,” emphasizing the potential threat to US troops and citizens amidst the ongoing Middle East conflict.

During an appearance on ABC’s This Week program, Austin stressed the need for caution, emphasizing that any group or nation considering expanding the conflict and capitalizing on the situation should carefully weigh the consequences.

In addition, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken expressed his concerns regarding a possible escalation, specifically raising the alarm about the involvement of Iranian proxies like Hezbollah or Hamas.

He assured that the United States is taking comprehensive measures to guarantee the protection of both Israelis and American citizens in the region.

The warning comes in the wake of several troubling incidents, including drone and rocket attacks on several Iraqi bases utilized by US-led coalition forces.

These developments underscore the growing complexity and uncertainty in the region, with multiple actors potentially contributing to the escalation of the conflict.

US officials are acutely aware of the risks and are actively working to mitigate them.

Furthermore, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu added to the sense of urgency by visiting troops stationed near the Lebanon-Israel border.

In his address, he highlighted the gravity of the situation, describing it as a battle for their homeland.

He underscored that this is not an exaggeration; it is, in his words, “do or die.”

Netanyahu’s stern warning is a reflection of the increasing tensions and the potential for a broader and more intense conflict that could have profound consequences for the region and beyond.

Netanyahu issued a stern warning to Hezbollah, advising the group against becoming involved in the ongoing conflict.

He emphasized that such a decision would be a grave mistake, and Israel would respond with overwhelming force.

The consequences, he warned, would be devastating not only for Hezbollah but also for the state of Lebanon.

In response, Hezbollah has made it clear that it is fully prepared to engage in a conflict with Israel.

Southern Lebanon has become a battleground for clashes between Israel and Hamas, resulting in reports of at least 27 individuals losing their lives.

Israel, too, has suffered casualties, with reports of five soldiers and one civilian killed in the conflict.

In a precautionary move, Israel has issued evacuation orders for numerous communities in the northern regions.

The list of communities subject to evacuation orders was expanded on Sunday to include an additional 14 areas.

Across the border in neighboring Syria, where Iran maintains a military presence, Israeli missiles targeted Damascus and Aleppo international airports in the early hours of Sunday.

The attack led to the tragic deaths of at least two airport workers, as reported by Syrian state media.

The extent of damage inflicted on the runways has rendered both airports non-operational.
