Elon Musk Says Oil And Gas Shouldn’t Be Demonized
(CTN News) – Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla, expressed his belief that oil and gas should not be vilified in the medium term.
He emphasized the importance of reducing carbon emissions to protect our planet. Speaking at a political event organized by Italy’s Brothers of Italy party, Elon Musk stated that the alarm surrounding climate change is exaggerated in the short term.
He also suggested that the environmental movement may have gone too far, leading to a loss of faith in the future.
At the recent COP28 climate summit, representatives from almost 200 countries agreed to gradually decrease global fossil fuel consumption to mitigate the impacts of climate change, Elon Musk ultimately signaling the end of the oil era.
Musk, who identifies as an environmentalist, stressed the significance of industries reducing the immense amount of carbon they extract from the earth and releasing it into the atmosphere through the burning of fossil fuels in the long run.
He expressed his belief that oil and gas should not be vilified in the foreseeable future. When questioned about his company’s potential investments in Italy, Elon Musk expressed concern regarding the country’s decreasing birth rate.
While acknowledging Italy as an excellent investment destination, he emphasized his worries about the declining workforce due to the low birth rate.
He questioned who would contribute to the Elon Musk country’s labor force if the trend continued.
Musk urged the Italian government to introduce measures that encourage families to have more children. He stressed that relying solely on immigration would not be sufficient to address the workforce shortage.
