What Should You Eat to Keep Your Nails Healthy and Beautiful?

Even with a regular manicure, you will hardly think about nails. After all, most of us rarely worry too much about the health of our nails because they are just there. But if you’ve ever experienced dry, brittle nails that are weak and fragile, you know how stressful it can be, not just what your tip looks like.

It turns out that your fingernails can be an indicator of underlying health problems or even visual evidence that your diet lacks certain important vitamins and nutrients. But don’t be afraid. Including these foods in your diet is the easiest (and most delicious!) Way to help your nails grow longer and stronger without supplements, treatments, or products containing harsh chemicals.

  • Just as lean meat

Protein, such as turkey, chicken, and beef, helps build strong muscles, it works astoundingly on your fingernails. She recommends eating lean chicken, fish, beef, and pork to keep the claws in the shape of the tip.

  • Fruits and Berry-especially blueberries, strawberries,  bananas

Eating lots of fruits is an easy and delicious way to add lots of nutrients and vitamins to your diet, but know that these snack favourites are also good for your nails. Did you? In fact, there are plenty of all-star fruits that you can add to your diet for thicker, stronger peaks, as well as a simple fortification. Blueberries are my favourite, and registered nutritionist Erin Palinski Wade recently talked to Health magazine.

“Antioxidants help protect the body’s cells from free radical damage, which increases stress hormones and inflammation, including hair and nail cells, everything in the body,” said Palinski Wade. It affects the cells. “Blueberries have one of the highest antioxidant properties of any fruit.” Livestrong also points out that blackberries and grapes are also rich in antioxidants, making them a sweet treat at your fingertips as well.

Other top candidates? Vitamin C helps produce collagen and naturally increases the elasticity of the nails. According to Livestrong, dry apricots and bananas are also good choices as they are rich in vitamins A and B6, respectively.

  • Dark leafy vegetables such as spinach, broccoli, and kale

The importance of eating vegetables on a regular basis is well known and even the experts of online nail tech classes recommend adding veggies in your meals, but another major reason is that they help make your nails harder like nails.

  • Other vegetables such as sweet potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, pepper

If you like a little more colour on the dish, don’t worry. There are many vegetables that can give nails an equally strong shelf life without being completely bored. Tomatoes and peppers are rich in vitamin C, which is optimal for collagen levels, and sweet potatoes and carrots are rich in vitamin A, providing the antioxidants needed to protect and keep your nails strong.

  • Almond and Sunflower Seeds

Healthy fats such as those found in nuts and seeds are a delicious snack for your nails. Health magazine reported that almonds are a good source of protein and magnesium, adding that “vertical ridges on the nails may indicate a magnesium deficiency.” Once you discover this, you might want to begin eating almonds.

Sunflower seeds, according to nutrition experts, can also strengthen weakened nails. Aside from magnesium, sunflower seeds also contain manganese and copper, which are trace elements crucial for the structure and formation of connective tissue in bones and cartilage, which strengthens nails. Additionally, sunflower seeds contain vitamins B6, zinc, and E.

  • Beer

Beer may sound too good, but wheat beer has been shown to be high in silicon and strengthen bones and even nails. Of course, right experts like TangoLearn recommend drinking a barrel of beer every day, but you can occasionally add cold beer and see the benefits not just on nails on health-wise too and many doctors say it helps in preventing stones.

  • Fortified Milk

Ironically, beer fortifies bones just like milk. Milk is fortified with calcium and vitamin D. Both of these are important for making strong and healthy nails that can withstand all the abuse we face every day, from typing to trying to remove the battery from the remote control.

  • Eggs 

Whether you like scrambled eggs, poached eggs, fried foods, or omelettes, eggs are a nutritious powerhouse and are good enough to feel and see the benefits from head to toe, including nails. It works. “Eggs also contain B12, vitamins A and E, iron, and biotin (also known as vitamin B7 or vitamin H, also known as part of the B complex vitamin). Biotin is a finger. It has been scientifically shown to increase the thickness of your claws and reduce the brittleness and crevices of your finger claws.”

  • Beans such as lentils and lima 

If you have a plant-based diet but want to make your nails look perfect, there are many sources of nutrient-rich protein and biotin that are not meat-based. For example, beans are packed with biotin. Biotin is a proven driving force for nail health that helps grow long and thick over time. Legumes, like lentils, are packed with “nine essential vitamins and minerals, including B vitamins and biotin.”
