PHUKET – Pol Col Udom Phetcharat, deputy inspector from Mueang Phuket Provincial Police Station told reporters that the body of British National, Ronald Rymer, 69, was found on a terrace at the foot of the building’s fire escape on May 13th, by the manager of the Manorah Hotel.

Police told the Phuket News that Mr.Rymer was said to have suicidal tendencies and that he was suffering from depression and that he had made several suicide attempts in the past.

Mr Rymer’s wife of seven years, Thayanee Larbbok said they visited Bangkok Hospital Phuket seeking treatment for his condition just two days earlier.

The couple had checked in at the hotel the night before and were staying on the fifth floor. Ms Thayanee said she was outside, calling for a taxi to Rawai, when she heard hotel staff say someone had jumped off the building.
