PATTAYA – Police have reported that a 28 year-old British man was slashed by his estranged Thai wife following a quarrel at their rented room in Pattaya early on Tuesday.

Police and rescue workers were called to the Pandia Apartment on Soi Bua Khao of South Pattaya in Chon Buri’s Bang Lamung district at approximately 6:30 am to find Benjamin Laister Crowson, 28, with slash wounds on both legs and his left arm.

Police took his wife, Miss Monthita Buatong, 23, into custody and said they would interrogate the Briton before deciding the charges against her.

Monthita told police that she and Crowson had just returned from drinking outside overnight when her husband started a quarrel by cursing her parents, and so she had become angry and attacked him with a knife.
