CHON BURI – Hundreds of police officers and administrative officials Monday scoured the Sri Racha Tiger Zoo for 35-year-old Chinese National Miss. Gao LiPing, who joined a group tour alone on Sunday.
The Tour guide Jingya Sae Jao said he led a party of 37, including Gao, to the zoo on but she did not return to the tour bus later, Pol Col Chanapat Nawalak, chief of Nong Kham police said.

Jingya Sae Jao told police Mrs Gao travelled to Thailand after breaking up with her husband. Â She appeared to be under stress and often separated from the tour group to be alone.
The tour guide said “Initially, I started looking for her myself and asked zoo staff to help check CCTV footage, which suggested her last position was around the crocodile area. So I decided to alert police.”
Officers began searching for Miss Gao on Sunday night, but the operation was called off after a few hours amid heavy rain. She was wearing a white T-shirt, red shorts and a white wide-brimmed hat.
Monday, officials from various agencies including the Immigration Bureau joined the effort to locate the missing woman.
Pol Chanapat said footage from the 122 security cameras installed around the zoo was being examined in the hope of locating her.
