Man Found Dead in a Suitcase in Chon Buri Province

Police said they suspected the man was murdered at a different location to where the suitcase was found.

CHON BURI – The Thai Newspaper Khaosod has reported a dead man wrapped in pink blanket was found in a suitcase left on the roadside near tambon Na Matum of Phanat Nikom district Chon Buri on Friday.

 Pol Maj Gen Katcha Thartsart, the chief of Chon Buri provincial police, and investigators examined the black suitcase, which was found by villagers on Phanat-Nong Sak Road.

The man, who is thought to have been dead for at least two days, was around 40 years old, according to the report in Khaosod newspaper.

Medical examinations revealed a wound on the victim’s head suggesting that he was hit with a hard object.

Police said they suspected the man was murdered at a different location to where the bag was found.

They have started contacting police in other districts to help verify the identity of the corpse.
