WhatsApp’s Wear OS 3 Beta Version Out For Users Worldwide

(CTN NEWS) – With Wear OS 3, Google and Samsung have worked together to revitalise the platform.

The release of Android smartwatches running Wear OS 3 as the Galaxy Watch 5 and Google Pixel Watch, contributed to increased consumer acceptance.

More apps are now accessible for the top Android smartwatches than before due to developers starting to treat Wear OS more seriously.

WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, has added its Wear OS 3 software to the list and made it available to beta testers.

WhatsApp Android Wear Support

When WhatsApp released Android Wear compatibility for its app in 2014, it was subsequently discontinued due to low user acceptance. Instead of releasing a native app for Wear OS 3 right once, the business decided to wait and see.

Now that WhatsApp’s native Wear OS app is obtainable for beta testing, this is changing. The application is a component of WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.23.10.10.

Set Up WhatsApp On Your Wear OS 3 watch

Up until now, Wear OS’ notification shade was the sole place to view and reply to new WhatsApp messages. There was no native app, therefore there was no way to view your previous talks.

This will no longer be the case as your past and present discussions, including group chats, are accessible through the official WhatsApp app for Wear OS 3.

A voice or text response can be made in response to a communication. Any image shared in a conversation will even display a little preview by the app.

You need to enter an eight-digit code that appears on your phone in order to configure WhatsApp on your Wear OS 3 watch.

All of your chats will then be synced with your phone using the Wear OS app. While you may browse your past discussions, there isn’t yet a method to search them or start a new chat through the app.

Wear OS 3 App New Features

You can now send voice notes to your most recent conversations and quickly access your favourite contacts with a few new tiles in the Wear OS 3 app.

Given that the Wear OS 3 beta for WhatsApp has not yet been released, Meta may change some of these restrictions in a later build.
