All the beauty pageants led by Miss Grand Thailand 2014 Parapadsorn Disdamrong said they clad in black to mourn the death of Nong Gaem, the 13-year-old girl student who was raped and killed on a night sleeper train on her way back to Bangkok Sunday night by a state railway employee catering to the sleeper bogey she seated.

They called on the junta chief to amend the existing law to introduce capital punishment for rapist murderer so that it will serve as a reminder for sex violators that they be given maximum sentence for the crime.

Besides the beauty pageants also urged that all sex violation cases be processed with speed and punishment be handed down immediately, reasoning that prompt action could help ease the increasing sex violation cases.

They also asked for increased security personnel at all public places, educate women through the media on how to defend themselves against sex threats, and to declare clear policy on sex violations so as to remind would-be violators of the maximum penalty if they commit the sex crimes
