Woman Beating Frenchmen Deported from Thailand

CHONBURI – Frenchman  Medhi Karim Draoui wanted for beating his girlfriend was arrested and deported after immigration police discovered he had overstayed his visa by two years.

Medhi Karim Draoui, 32, was captured by Pattaya police and Chonburi Immigration Office April 20, he’d been wanted on a warrant after his ex-girlfriend brought assault charges against him.

Draoui said that he entered Thailand March 19, 2013 on a one-month passport visa exemption. He instead overstayed two years and three days.

Meanwhile, Pattaya Police found an elderly British man, Terence Michael Sims, 66, lying face down on the bathroom of his eighth floor apartment.

Police found injuries on the right side of his face and he was bleeding from the nose and mouth. He also had injuries to his head and police estimated that he was dead for at least 12 hours.

The room was investigated and no belongings were believed to be missing.

Foul play is not suspected, but the body was sent to the Forensic Institute to determine the cause of death.
