26 Year-Old German David Maas Wanted on Interpol Warrant Arrested in Bangkok
BANGKOK – Acting Immigration Bureau chief Pol Maj Gen Surachate Hakpal told a press briefing on Friday that David Maas, 26, wanted by Interpol was arrested at the BTS Phra Khanong station on Monday.
Mass was found to have overstayed his visa for 257 days after it expired on February 14. He fled to Thailand on January 16 and entered the country via Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Surachate said Mass had arrest warrants issued by a German court for allegedly selling drugs worth Bt175 million via the so-called Dark Web network.
He was also suspected of taking part in a robbery of laptop computers and mobile phones in Germany in November, 2017.
