Theresa and Hannah’s aunt Lucy arrived at the British Embassy in Bangkok and were taken immediately to the Somdet Chaopraya Hospital where they will be reunited, a Embassy staffer said.
Theresa Davies and her sister made the journey as fears grew over the fate of her daughter Hannah Davies, who was last seen in the Bang Kapi shopping mall in Bangkok on January 31.
Hannah was found by the Bangkok police and taken to Somdet Chaopraya Hospital for treatmennt.
On the site created by Hannah’s family it stated:
Hannah has been found in Thailand and is currently in a Bangkok hospital undergoing checks. Her mother and aunt are in the country, have met with her and will look to bring her home soon.
Hannah’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the people who have made possible the finding of a lost young women in a busy city on the other side of the world.
Social media had a huge part to play and within 1 hour on the night Hannah went missing a message from her mother appealing for help had been shared over 300 times. Travelling forums in Thailand and other countries were instrumental in helping to locate Hannah and getting her the help she needed.
The press both in the UK and abroad were also very useful in spreading the word on Hannah’s plight and we are convinced that their mature reporting has helped keep Hannah safe during this difficult period.
