Three 12 Year-Old Girls Killed in Tragic Motorcycle Accident
NAKHON PATHOM – Three teenage girl have died after the motorcycle they were riding collided with a 10-wheel lorry on a road bend in central Thailand on Sunday afternoon.
Pol Lt Col Boonyasak Tipma, a Muang Nakhon Pathom police duty officer, said the accident happened at 1.07pm on the road through a village in tambon Nong Ngu Luam.
Eyewitnesses told police the motorcycle strayed across the middle line on a bend in the road in front of Wat Nong Ngu Luam temple and collided with a dirt lorry traveling in the opposite direction. The truck ran over the motorcycle and the girls, killing them instantly.
The three 12 year-old girls — Sujitra Butpa, Pathita Inprai and Tiwaporn Chanpong, Mathayom Suksa 1 students of Rajinee Burana School in Muang district — were on the way to do homework together when the accident occurred, police said.
