Pokémon Day 2024: Exclusive Game Deals, Tera Raids, and Mobile Trading Cards Unveiled

Pokémon Day 2024: The first Pokémon Presents event of 2024 isn’t just today, it’s also the anniversary of Pokémon Red and Green. A Tera raid will be held to celebrate Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, where you’ll be able to catch one of the three final evolutions of the starters for the first generation.

From tomorrow, players will be able to catch the Mighty Venusaur event. From March 6, players will be able to catch mighty Blastoise until March 12. The Mighty Charizard raids start on March 13 and end on March 17.

The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are only $49.99 today at Walmart. That’s just one deal Pokemon fans can score on International Pokemon Day 2024, which takes place all day on Tuesday, February 27.

It’s Pokemon Day every year because it’s the day the first Pokemon video game, Pokemon Red and Green, was released in Japan in 1996. It’s usually packed with exciting news, announcements, and deals on Pokemon products online on Pokemon Day. Pokemon Red and Blue were released in America in 1998.

Earlier this week, Nintendo announced new Pokemon video games, including Pokemon: Legends Z-A, coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2025, and Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket, coming later this year.

Pokémon Trading Card Game Goes Mobile

I have good news for fans of Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket! During today’s presentation, it was announced that you can play the game on your phone.

With Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, you can collect virtual Pokémon cards and battle your friends. It’s a collaboration between the Pokémon Company, Creatures Inc., and DeNA of Masters Ex.

Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket is coming out sometime this year on Android and iOS for those who love pocket monsters but haven’t played the TCG.

Pokémon Legends is coming next year

A teaser trailer for a new Pokémon Legends game was the last major announcement at Pokémon Presents today. No gameplay was shown, but we know that Pokémon Legends: Z-A takes place entirely in Luminois City, a major city in the Kalos region. The name might sound familiar to Pokémon fans.
