Have or Has
‘Has’ and ‘have’ are commonly used verbs in the English language. Read on to learn more about how to use these words.
When we’re referring to singular subjects, we use ‘has’.
The Goodfellow’s Tree Kangaroo has reddish-brown fur.
The kangaroo has evolved to live up in the trees.
When we’re referring to plural subjects, we use ‘have’.
They have been hunted for the beautiful coat.
These kangaroos have been affected by over hunting.
We have been to the zoo to see the Goodfellow’s Tree Kangaroo.
They have been to the zoo to see the Goodfellow’s Tree Kangaroo.
There’s an exception to the rule though. We use ‘have’ with the pronouns ‘I’ and ‘you’.
I have been to the zoo to see the Goodfellow’s Tree Kangaroo.
