Direct Flights From Chiang Mai To Osaka To Be Launched By Thai Vietjet

(CTN NEWS) – BANGKOK – On February 16, 2023, Thai Vietjet will launch direct flights between Chiang Mai and Osaka, with fantastic promotional tickets starting at just THB 3,799 per person (approx.. USD 116.32).

A321 aircraft will fly the new direct route, which will take around 5 hours to complete, between Kansai International Airport and Chiang Mai International Airport.

Beginning on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday of each week, Thai Vietjet will run three round-trip flights per week, as per the following flight schedule:

Chief Executive Officer of Thai Vietjet Woranate Laprabang said: “The planned new service launch between Chiang Mai and Osaka marks another crucial turning point for Thai Vietjet.

Chiang Mai has long been recognized as one of Thailand’s top tourist attractions, along with Bangkok and Phuket. More than 10 million tourists visited in 2018, with more than 30% coming from outside the country.

Despite an increase in the number, particularly in the post-pandemic period, there are now just a handful of direct international services that transport travelers abroad to Chiang Mai.

We are confident that by introducing our new service at this time, we will be able to give Thai tourists a chance to travel to Osaka as well as Japanese tourists, particularly those from Osaka, the chance to travel affordably and in luxury to the lovely city of Chiang Mai.”

Osaka is the second-largest city after Tokyo in Japan’s Honshu island’s Kansai area. The city is well recognized for its delectable local cuisine, retail districts, neon-lit neighborhoods, renowned amusement park, and many other things.

Chiang Mai is a popular tourist destination due to its stunning mountain landscape and unique Lanna culture.

Tourists can partake in elephant bathing in elephant camps, trekking through the jungle, and enjoying the peace at the summit of Chiang Dao Mountain, which is 2,195 meters above sea level.

The booking window for the promotional tickets is from January 17 to January 28, 2023, and the travel window is from February 16 to October 31, 2023. (not available on public holidays).
