BANGKOK – British National James Anthony Durna appeared in court charged with the murder of Darren Taylor who plunged to his death from a balcony in Bangkok Thailand.

James Anthony Durnan, 23, faced Ratchada Criminal Court in Bangkok yesterday, however the case was adjourned after the defence asked to review the trial evidence, the next hearing will be held on November 28.
Durnan is also accused of assaulting Mr Taylor’s pregnant girlfriend, Chantima Yuttaisong, and of using a controlled substance.
Bangkok Police were called to Maitreejit Apartment, where Mr Taylor lived, at about 5.20am on June 13.
Durnan was found by officers at the scene with a cut to his arm, which police believed was caused when he tried to flee the area.
He was arrested at the scene but later released on bail.
He initially appeared in court to be charged with murder in September.
Toxicology tests on Mr Taylor showed he had alcohol and tobacco in his system, but found no evidence of drugs.
Darren Taylorl had been living in Thailand for three years. His girlfriend was about four months pregnant at the time of his death.
Taylors parents Gary and Linda, had to borrow £10,000 from relatives to fly his body back home.
Since his death the family say they have been “coming up against brick walls” and struggling to find out information about the trial or meet costs.
A spokesman for the Foreign Office said: “We were made aware on June 13 of the arrest of a British national in Thailand. We are providing consular assistance.”
