Citigroup Becomes Air Astana Group GDR's Depositary Bank

(CTN News) – Citigroup has announced its appointment as the depositary bank for the Global Depositary Receipt (“GDR”) program of Kazakh flag carrier airline Air Astana Group (“Air Astana”), effective September 29, 2010.

The Regulation S GDRs of Air Astana are traded on the London Stock Exchange (“LSE”) under the symbol “AIRA” and on the Astana International Exchange (“AIX”) under the symbol “AIRA.Y” as well as the Rule 144A GDRs under the symbol “AIRA”.

It should be noted that each GDR consists of four ordinary shares of the company. As well as being listed on AIX, Air Astana’s ordinary shares are also traded on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (“KASE”) and are traded under the symbol “AIRA” on these exchanges.

Dirk Jones, Global Head of Citigroup Issuer Services, said, “It is with great pleasure that we have been appointed by Air Astana as its depositary bank for its GDR program.”.

As a result of our Investor Relations Advisory team and our extensive equity distribution network, we are confident that we will be able to assist Air Astana in increasing the number of investors who are exposed to Air Astana.
