Temperature to Drop Another 2-4 Degrees Celsius

The mercury continues to drop in Thailand’s upper parts, residents struggling to cope with the cold weather

 

CHIANG RAI – According to the Meteorological Department Temperatures in most parts of the country will drop a further 2-4 degree Celsius starting today due to another wave of strong high pressure from China.

The cold front from China has already covered Vietnam and is expected to arrive in Thailand on Friday and this will further plunge the mercury down by 2-4 degree Celsius.

In the Northern Provinces of Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai, the temperatures will range from 11-13 degree Celsius at the minimum and 25-27 Celsius at the maximum. It is colder at mountain tops with the minimum temperature at 4-7 degree Celsius.

In the Northeast, the lowest temperature is expected to be 9-12 degree Celsius and maximum temperature at between 25-27 degree Celsius. It will be colder in mountainous areas with temperature at 3-6 degree Celsius.

In the Central Plains, the lowest temperature is expected to be at 13-15 degree Celsius and maximum temperate at between 28-29 degree Celsius. Temperature on the mountains is expected to be between 8-12 degree Celsius.

In Bangkok and neighbouring provinces, the lowest temperature is between 17-18 degree Celsius and maximum temperature at between 29-30 degree Celsius.
