TikTok has removed over 10.4 million videos in Pakistan due to policy violations

(CTN News) – In the second quarter of 2023, TikTok, a social media platform specializing in brief videos, removed more than 10.4 million videos for violating community guidelines.

TikTok issued its most recent enforcement report for community guidelines for the second quarter of 2023 (April-June) on Thursday. The social media company said in a statement that the report continued its commitment to combating misinformation and fostering a safe and inclusive environment.

It was reported that 83.6% of objectionable videos in Pakistan were removed prior to their visibility to the public and that around 92.5% of such aliza sehar videos were removed within a day.

“A proactive removal rate of 98.6% was achieved in the second quarter of 2023.”

“TikTok removed 18,823,040 accounts worldwide that were suspected to belong to users under the age of 13, with a primary concern for the safety of young users,” the statement continued.

The report emphasized TikTok’s continuous dedication to establishing credibility by means of responsibility and preserving a secure and inclusive atmosphere for its user base.

A TikTok report for the second quarter of the current year indicated that 106,476,032 videos were removed worldwide, representing an estimated 0.7% of all videos uploaded to the platform.

“After review, 6,750,002 videos were reinstated, whereas 66,440,775 videos were eliminated by automated systems.”

The second item had a proactive removal rate of 98.6%.

The statement continued, “TikTok’s community guidelines are intended to promote a secure, inclusive, and genuine experience for all users.” The policies are applicable to all users and all forms of content, and TikTok strives to enforce them consistently and fairly.

TikTok employs a hybrid approach, integrating cutting-edge technology with human monitoring, to detect, evaluate, and address content that contravenes its community guidelines.

“Full transparency is ensured through the quarterly release of the community guidelines enforcement report, which provides insights into the volume and nature of removed content and accounts.”
