Philippine Ambassador Visits Chiang Rai Governor at City Hall

CHIANG RAI – H.E. Jocelyn Batoon-Garcia, Ambassador and Philippine Permanent Representative to UNESCAP, paid a courtesy call to Chiang Rai Governor Phongsak Wangsamer at Chiang Rai City Hall.

The ambassador praised how Chiang Rai has beautiful line of tress and landscapes with flowers along the main roads.

During her visit the Governor the Philippine Ambassador discussed Issues concerning the ASEAN developments, Filipino community, Economic developments and tourism.

Both parties agreed on developments of on good relationship between the Province of Chiang Rai and the Philippines and the Philippine Honorary Consul Mr. Agkarajit Phanomvan Na Ayudhya was introduced to the governor and high ranked officials.

The Honorary Consul will be based in Chiang Mai with consular jurisdiction over the 9 provinces in upper northern Thailand.
