BANGKOK – The peaceful town of Kanchanaburi was deeply shaken this week following a very sad discovery. A 44-year-old local woman, who had been missing for four long days, was found dead by police. Her body was discovered hidden behind a large sugar factory in the area.

The family is waiting for the hospital doctors to finish examining and release her body. Once she is brought back, they will begin the traditional religious ceremonies. Because they are still waiting, a final date for the cremation has not been set yet.
The victim’s ex-husband, a 41-year-old man named Mr. Singhan, bravely spoke to news reporters about the sudden tragedy. He explained that even though they were no longer married to each other, they still talked on the phone very often. They mostly stayed in touch to talk about caring for their child.
Mr. Singhan shared the timeline of the last time they spoke:
- He last heard her voice at 6:00 AM on May 10.
- She called him on the phone, and everything seemed completely normal.
- After they hung up, she completely vanished.
He noted that it was highly unusual for her to just go silent like that without telling anyone. Usually, she was very easy to reach and would always answer her phone. Mr. Singhan expressed deep sadness over losing the mother of his child. He added that he still does not understand the real reason why this terrible event happened. He also mentioned that he has not spoken to the arrested neighbor at all.
