Twisted Metal Teaser: Anthony Mackie Revs His Engine On Peacock

(CTN News) – Another popular video game is being adapted for TV. A new action-comedy series called “Twisted Metal” is set to make its television debut on Peacock on July 27th.

As its name suggests, Twisted Metal is a video game based on the PlayStation’s series of car combat games of the same name.

The games put players in control of deadly demolition derby vehicles and destroy each other in a hellish Twisted Metal tournament in which they control those vehicles.

Apart from the crazed characters, the games also feature a cast of maniacal characters, including an ice cream truck driving serial killer clown known as Sweet Tooth.

As you will see in the trailer, he appears briefly at the end of the clip. In this first look, we get a glimpse into the reimagined “Twisted Metal” landscape plagued by Len’s iconic “Steal My Sunshine” music video.

There is a show called Twisted Metal based on a fictional character named John Doe, who is a “motor-mouthed outsider” played by Marvel actress Anthony Mackie.

After coming across a life-changing opportunity, John soon discovers that the opportunity comes at a steep cost – he needs to deliver a mysterious package in order to take advantage of it.

In order to complete his mission and survive the onslaught of killer cars that attack him, John must drive through the post-apocalyptic wasteland.

Among the cast members, there is Stephanie Beatriz as Quiet, Thomas Haden Church as Agent Stone, Richard Cabral as Loud, and wrestler Samoa Joe as Sweet Tooth, with Will Arnett providing the voice of Sweet Tooth.

A number of guest stars will be appearing on the show, including Neve Campbell, Mike Mitchell, Tahj Vaughans, Chloe Fineman, and Lou Beatty Jr.

Given that other video game-turned-TV adaptations like HBO’s “The Last of Us” and Universal’s “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” have garnered a great deal of attention in recent years, there’s no way to miss the debut of another video game-turned-TV adaptation.

“Twisted Metal” is based on a story that is written by the showrunner and executive producer Michael Jonathan Smith and is produced by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.

As well as Reese and Wernick, Mackie, Arnett, and Marc Forman executive produce the film via Electric Avenue, which secured the rights to the material and helped put the project together with Reese and Wernick.

Inspire Entertainment’s Jason Spire, Artists First’s Peter Principato, PlayStation Productions’ Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan and PlayStation Studios head Hermen Hulst will also produce the game with Sony’s Hermen Hulst.
