'Black Mirror' Season 6 Trailer, Launch Date, Cast Confirmed: Aaron Paul, Kate Mara, Salma Hayek Pinault

(CTN News) – The first season of Netflix’s Black Mirror has been confirmed, a trailer has been released, and the launch date has also been revealed as well as a cast including Aaron Paul, Kate Mara, Michael Cera, and Salma Hayek Pinault.

In the trailer, you’ll see Charlie Brooker, the creator of the show, saying he’s “pushed the parameters of what a Black Mirror show even is” in order to make the show more exciting.

Several months after speculations and leaks began, Netflix has finally confirmed its first Black Mirror Season 6 cast list ahead of its London Showcase, following months of speculation and leaks.

Moreover, it was revealed that the new season of the show will start in June, four years after the last season ended.

Anjana Vasan, Annie Murphy, Auden Thornton, Ben Barnes, Clara Rugaard, Daniel Portman, Danny Ramirez, Himesh Patel, John Hannah, Josh Hartnett, Kate Mara, Monica Dolan, Myha’la Herrold, Paapa Essiedu, Rob Delaney, Rory Culkin, Samuel Blenkin and Zazie Beetz have been confirmed as the cast members for the film.

We will provide you with more information in the near future. New EP from Ms. Marvel is Bisha K. Ali, who is the head writer for the series.

As Brooker said to Tudum.com, he had begun writing Season 6 by “upending some of my own core assumptions about what to expect” as part of the process.

“Thus, this time, in addition to some of the more familiar tropes from Black Mirror, we have also added a few new elements, including some that I was previously sworn blind the show would never do in order to stretch the parameters of what ‘a Black Mirror episode’ is, he said.

As a result, the stories are all still tonally Black Mirror throughout – albeit with some crazy swings and more variety than ever before.

It has been described by Netflix as the most unpredictable, unclassifiable, and unexpected season to date.

As a darkly satirical anthology series, the show has been through many iterations since it premiered on Channel 4 in 2011, and Netflix has given the show a budget boost since it was picked up.

Brooker and Black Mirror EP Annabel Jones’ indie Broke & Bones has been appointed the show’s producer, and Ali has been appointed executive producer alongside Jessica Rhoades (Station Eleven).

It was Brooker who lauded Season 6’s “incredible roster of disgustingly skilled, smart directors working with an ensemble of actors so gifted that frankly, they have no right to exist.”

Launch of the show is scheduled for June. Season 5 of the show premiered in 2019 and featured Miley Cyrus, Andrew Scott, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.
