‘Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts’ Trailer Reveals Unicron, a Planet-Eating Villain
(CTN News) – The first trailer for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts has been released online. As a sequel to 2018’s Bumblebee, the upcoming film is the seventh installment in the Transformers franchise.
It is also the seventh movie in the franchise. Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback play the roles of two human archaeologists from Brooklyn, who become embroiled in a battle between factions of shape-shifting robots in 1994 when they are tasked with helping a friend escape a dangerous situation.
The film was directed by Creed II’s Steven Caple Jr.
It has just been announced by Paramount that a new trailer for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts has been released ahead of its release date on June 9. Take a look at it below:
The new trailer reiterates certain aspects of the previous trailers, including the fact that the Transformers called Maximals, and their leader Optimus Primal, will play an important role in the plot of the film.
This time around, however, they introduce the fact that Unicron, the planet-devouring being also known as the Lord of Chaos, is the villain of the film, introducing the fact that he is indeed the villain of the film.
Unicron’s role in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is explained in this article
It has been rumored for more than a year that Unicron will return in Rise of the Beasts. Nevertheless, with the release of this new trailer, it has finally been confirmed.
While he has been an iconic figure in popular culture, he has been a rare presence in live-action films in the Transformers franchise, which has run for six films so far, not counting Rise of the Beasts, since it debuted in 2007.
The only time Unicron appeared on screen in any capacity was during the events of 2017’s Transformers: The Last Knight.
The film depicts a cybertronian sorceress named Quintessa who attempts to restore power to Cybertron by using Unicron, who is believed to form the earth’s core.
The six horns of Unicron appeared simultaneously from various locations across the globe as a result of this.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, however, shows Unicron to be a much more active character.
At the beginning of The Last Knight, he is likely to explain how he came to be where he is, though it is still unknown what chaos will reign in the meantime.
Even though Unicron is certain to be defeated, his ability to travel through the multiverse may allow future Transformers movies to engage in the same alternate universe antics as big comic book franchises.
